Quad guy with my first 3 wheeler.

Been riding quads my whole life. I just purchased my first three wheeler, It is a 1981 Honda 185s. Really enjoying riding something other then a quad. Planning on redoing the entire machine this winter. hopefully I can find some help on this site. Cheers, Josh.

Are you positive? I've seen guys in this forum not realize the shift pattern is all down on that particular model.

Well the shift pattern is definitely confusing for a while. I had it up on a stand moving the tire back and forth while shifting in both directions. It was stuck for sure. I can see that happening though. everything else I have shifts the other way. lol

I raced quads for years was all about going fast and hitting the big jumps. As much as I enjoyed it, my lower back did not. It was time to do something different. I then moved to two wheels. Did a lot of dual sporting and exploring. Which I still do a fair amount of to this day. I was recently at my cousins cabin and he had this 185s. I rode it all weekend and had a blast. It's so much different then anything thing else with handlebars I had to have it. Lol. It's a ton of fun, but at a lower speed. I'll be fixing this thing up this winter and hopefully enjoying it next summer.
