its got a "310" sleeve in it. Really a 293 on first bore and 308 on last bore. You will find alot of trx/atc's have big bore sleeves and/or stroker cranks, uneducated buyer dont even know what they have. It used to be a common thing when last bore on stock sleeve was worn, to rebuild it with a ~72mm sleeve, well, before aftermarket cylinders were cheap and easily gotten. You can build a 330 that externally looks like a stock 250, depending on crank/rod and piston, it may not even have a spacer plate under the cylinder.

That is the holly grail of 250r cylinders, they are a work of art and very rare! Killer port design too.

What's more rare than this? I guess a factory HRC bulge port would be, but you only see them in a few old magazines. I think they were truly crushed or sent back to Japan

when duncan worked with pro-x to design the first aftermarket cylinders, they used a factory hrc cylinder(would love to know how they got one- 68mm nickel-sil and radical proting, but looked very close to a factory cylinder from the outside), mugen cylinder from a 85-86 atc250r and mugen for a 85 cr250r. All the best from the 3 were put together, along with o-ring head and a type of cool-head. That being said.......mugen cylinder is very cool to have and rare.....your run of the mill pro-x, saber, sphynx or esr cylinder has a better port layout and makes more power. But for its time, nothing could touch a mugen except for factory hrc stuff.
