Would a vented gas cap from 200x,250R or 350X fit 1985 Super Big Red?

I am having trouble with my Super Big Reds on-off gas cap, looking at EBay made me think about a hose vented gas cap like on the fast ATCs. The front fender on my bike says Super Red and elsewhere its Big Red? This bike came from a now closed dealer in Cheboygan,MI and I bought if from original owner, thought Super Red was from down under-Oz or Kiwi. Trouble is the stupid cap won't vent and it keeps stalling me out. Price for hose vent caps seems OK, think they'd fit?

I think that any of the on off caps work from quads too. Trx300fw, 125m, 200m, 200e, 200s, 250sx, etc. The sport trikes will not work.

Did you try to clean the cap you have ?

I checked out a YouTube video of a guy splitting the cap but did not try to clean mine yet. Maybe I will search that and give it a try. My Tri Moto has the vent tube cap and it's been flawless and I kind of like what the vent tube is all about anyways.
