    Tire sizing??

Just wondering if I am the only one that thinks 25 x12 x 9 is a little 2 big for an ATC 200? They seem to me to be 2 wide for this trike. They look huge. Do any of you guys run something maybe not so wide? If so could you recommend a size? Maybe it's just the type of tire that's on this bike. They have been changed from OEM.

That's what hey came with. Due to most of them not having suspension the tires gave it a softer ride. You can switch to anything you like. You just have to change your hubs and get different rims to match the hubs.

yea I knew they came with that size but I was thinking of doing something not as wide. That's a lot of tire and the 200 is not an overly powerful machine.

I'm running Duro's on my '83 200. They aren't too wide. I know what you mean though...some manufacturer's tires are wider than others - even if stamped with the same size.

I put a 1 inch wider tire on my 200x. I liked the tire [kenda Knarly]. Very similar to origional 86x tire. They seem huge compared to stock. Put the fenders on and they look right though. I wanted to go back to a stock size tire for just cruising and comfort. You can sure tell there's more meat back there now.

U know if it was a 500cc it wouldn't be as bad. They look good but seems to me too much rubber for the power output of a 200.

Honda 200's have extrordinary mudhole power, I've seen them chug through all day, impressively. Sprockets should fix alot, someone can get you in the ballpark with that.Think of all the clearance.

gear it like a dozer but it will only top out at 17 mph? lol. yea I know I can up the rear sprocket but I would have to take that cover off if I go any bigger though. Unless I down the front sprocket. You know I only paid $125 for this thing and all im gonna do is put around so it will all be fine.

My Spidertracs are 13.5" wide on the rear. The old 84 BR does just fine. If you buy a smaller tire that weighs more than what you have you might lose more than the current set up.

These are the tires I went with which I think they look really good. They don't appear to be too large for the trike. Next question is what do you guys suggest for a front tire. I need to replace mine. Do most of you go with a standard issue tire that came on it?

Suggestions? This will just be used to stroll around the house, no hardcore riding.
