    New member intro

Guess I should do the intro-thing. I'm doing some due-diligence-type studying before buying a 3-wheeler to rebuild as a winter project. (Of course, there is the other option: buy a running 3-wheeler and a set of chains, and ride it over the winter.) Mostly right now I'm studying on models that would work for me, and ruling out those that wouldn't.

Right now I'm looking at a couple of local trikes, an ATC 70 and a 250 (don't recall the model), and the stripped frame from a Tracker (?--pics look right, haven't seen it in person). After some more looking around and maybe some test rides, maybe I can actually get around to getting my hands dirty.

Past rides included a weird homemade trike that looked like an unholy cross between a Honda trike and a Ford tractor (with a 45 cu. in. engine and low gearing, it was a great ride for maintaining fencelines), and an ATC 350.

    Thanks for looking!
    Jim

Hey Cup, what part of Nebraska are you from? If you're not sure what trike to buy, I'd suggest a Honda. There's nothing wrong with the other brands, but the parts are FAR easier to get for Hondas. Just my .02.

Well, I'm from central Nebraska, but for the past 25 years I've lived in eastern Nebraska (just west of Lincoln). I figured Honda was the way to go: homemade trikes with engines from WLAs are just hard to find these days!
