Looks good, what work did you have to do to it to get it in the shape it is now?

Thanks guys, I tore it down to the frame and painted everything. Here's a list of what I all did to it.

fixed dents in tank and repainted it
    new wheel bearings
Found a new front that had good shocks on it
Found fenders that were in immaculate shape and put those on
    Chain guard
put a new clutch in it
    tail light
    back tires are new
    new seat cover
    new decals
new brakes and brake cables all the way around
    new starter

It took a long time to find some of these parts that were in good shape yet (as everybody knows already), so this took me about a year to actually get it complete. Finding the fenders and decent front end that didn't have seized up forks seemed like a feat that would never happen but persistence paid off!

Is that the trike your dad bought new or is it just like it? Also, about how much $ do you have in it? Just wondering. I just restored same year and make for about $1000. All I did was: powder coat everything that was factory paint, wheels & neck bearings, restored plastics, new rear rack & ignition switch, muffler & tail light. Engine was perfect. Once again, GREAT JOB!

Hey Thanks! But no my dad never bought it new, he bought it used 22 years ago as a Christmas present for my twin brother and I when we were 5 years old. With putting new rear tires, fenders on it and having the gas tank fixed and painted along with the headlight housing and front end I found painted at the same time, I have a 1000 bucks alone in that. Then the new clutch I put in it because it was slipping something fierce cost $200 and the chain guard i found in perfect shape cost $100 alone for that. The other miscellaneous things I bought that are mostly listed above put me right around $2000 bucks total for the project. I know from looking on Craigslist it would of been cheaper to buy one that was in good shape but this was more of a sentimental piece. But it sounds like your trike has to be a good looking piece as well!
