my 250r on/off headlight switch is shot. I have a few 200x ones laying around. Im thinking i could probably cut and solder the wires together and it should all work. anyone done this before? Also while im making a thread, If anyones got a 85/86 250r throttle id be interested. Havnt had much luck over in the classifieds. Also heard ones from a 300ex may work and get the full pull? not sure. Thanks

Exactly what honda4h said. I took the headlight switch off of an 83' 200x and put it on my buddies 85' 250r. It will work as long as you match up the wires correctly.

I don't see why not my 86 125m has a switch off of a trx 400 something We just changed the ends and all was good.
