Yamaha YT 175 tri Moto carb upgrade

Guys. I am building a YT175 out of my 125. In "the day" I had a DT175 top end and 3B Lightening Pipe as well as some porting and reeds etc on mine. Im using a YT 175 top end this time around and have an old school Bassani pipe for it. Im not really in the need to take on 250rs like I had to in the 8os , so I really don't need a pure animal , just a quicker version of the 125. What carb can I replace the tiny Mikuni with ? I considered a Chinese VM 24 off ebay . Are those any good or stay away. Thanks for the help.
