Aftermarket Honda ATC blue tail light lens, anyone remember them?

Does anyone remember the Honda ATC blue tail light lens, the were just a flat plate of blue lexan, I seem to recall others colors as well (purple, green, amber???)

I never saw them in shops, but they did sell them at- The World Famous Glamis Beach Store. I loved/miss that look and I am thinking about reproducing them.

I have searched Google images to no avail which is why I am turning to you guys/gals.

They looked cool and different and I think they may have added a few horsepower.

Also, does anyone have a 350X working rear taillight they want to part with, I am missing one and no spares. (Also, need it to spec off of)

I need to check, I think the 200X/350X/250r housings are all the same, if not I can build brackets.

They may have had them for Tecate's and Tri-Z's too, my memory was cloudy on those lens.

    Thank You

When I got the Danny's bike from Loren Duncan he wanted to move all of their 90-110 stuff. I ended up with a 81 ATC 110. It had one fo the "Blue" lens in the back. I said to myself that must have been a "Dune" thing. It was as you described just a smooth blue lens. I sold the bike and it was still on the bike. Something told me to remove it before I let it go....

That's a great story, thanks for sharing.

I remember it like it was yesterday, they were in a clear plastic bag with a head card stapled to the top, hanging on a pegboard hook in that shanty, dusty store.

The ole' lady that owned the store was constantly yelling at everyone and rude, but she loved me because I always bought Martinelli's apple juice, which seem to love. I would buy her one, open it and slide across the counter like the guys in the movie- Cocktail.... Seems kinda lame now.

Ahh, the memories, IMHO a much better time in history or maybe it wasn't, but I was too young to know?

Anyway, 1 or 2 Cibie lights on the front, my killer blue tail light and a blue light on my Pop-It whip, cruising the dunes at night looking for magnesium parties or racing up Comp. or Olds. Fun times, singing classic rock tunes in my helmet.

Trying to rack my brain, remember the name of the speed/repair shop on the other side of the freeway just north of the store in the old wooden barn?

Believe that "Clean Gene's" was the name that moved into the old original rock/stone store. Another business behind Glamis Store was "Dirty Bob's".

I've got a few of them. one blue lens for the sport trikes (83-87 200x, 83-86 250r, 85-86 350x) and a couple different colors for 90/110 (yellow, blue, green)

seem easy enough to make. just a piece of colored transparent plastic cut to shape

i think you may run into issues running them in the dunes (at least at night in CA) as i believe the law states that after dark every machine must have at least one functioning headlight and one functioning red tail light

I had one on a 200x back in the day. Manbear is right , they are now "Illeagal" in California at night. Blue is for law enforcement here. I have talked to people who have been harassed-but not ticketed.
