What ya doin for the roof ? Wood truss ? If you're going to build them urself , layout the bottom plates , and use the deck to jig up the truss .

I dunno, I was sorta thinking no roof, then maybe some trusses and cable and canvas or do what I did on shooting deck, truss with clear poly panels. Not sure...

Sounds like whatever you decide for a roof the snow load will have to be taken into consideration. I would shy away from temporary fixes like tarps unles you don't mind monkeying around up there twice a year to put it up or tear down. Metal roof 8x12 pitch? Snow slides right off.

You're doing it right so protect your investment from the sun with a roof soon. Then a safety railing, then screen it in, then wiring, couch, you know the basic stuff! Nice pad.

    Lol fieldy

Good eyes Atc, that pic was prior to the 5 lbs of 2.5" screws I placed. I first started securing them fully, then looked up at the weather and figured I better get cracking. So I tacked them all. Snapped pic then and then spent the next 2 hrs switching from 2 knee to 1 knee to driving 600 more. Got it done in 1/2 of snow unless I missed a spot.

True dirt. First I got permission, 3k later and still short a wall, railing, stairs and maybe a roof I'm not sure she is on board
O well, no more asking for permission, just forgiveness

I hope you post some "green" warm weather photos from up there come summer time, you have a very pretty looking piece of land there.
