    83 honda 185s 3 wheeler. no spark

Hi guys I'm new to the forum. Hope some of ya can help me out. I bought a 83 Honda 185s 3 wheeler when I got it it didn't run. The guy said it sat outside beside his barn uncovered. So one day I went out and it got spark I got it running rode it a little. Bit it seem to miss a little. Then the next day I tried to start it and it didn't have no spark. So I cleaned the ground new plug unplugged the kill switch unplugged the light. Bought a new coil. And a new cdi box the little black one. I also cleaned the cdi thing that's inside the circle cover. Still nothing. Could it be the stator? I don't have a multimeter but how do I test the stator? What wires? To test? I'm gonna get a multimeter. Thanks to whoever helps me get this going.

The thing under the circle cover is called a Pulse generator. is the ignition timed correctly? Check the Pulse generator gap. It could be the stator you check the black wire with red tracer which is the power and ground it to the case. I can make a video showing you how to check the stator and pulse generator tomorrow if you want. Just Pm me if you want me to make a video, its easier than explaining.
1983 ATC 185s 200 jug bored .20 9.5:1 Naumura piston. Fast as ass when its not stretching the drive chain or stripping hubs.

1983 YTM 200E. Runs good, forks are super bent but aside from that its mint.
1984 YTM 200L. Barn find, everything is mint except the bottom end is bad... *waiting on a new engine*

when you cleaned the pulsar coil did you re gap it to the proper .012in -.016in (.3mm-.4mm) as per manual, same as plug gap .024-.028in or .6-.7mm and this info is coming for the Honda Service Manuals which can be had from this WICKED site your using now...lol but on the left side of the bike by the seat there will be a rubber thing with a white connector with 2 wires attached to it that is for the lights(secondary) the single wire is the one for SPARK (Primary) check all of these incase there split or touching, i had this issue and bought a new stator just to find that all my old one needed was to be rewired which i did myself with the same gauge and length of wire and it runs good now, and i have a new unit as a back up, and the split on mine was inside of the engine case and could not be seen until i removed the case side when replacing it with the new unit i did not end up using...lol hope this helps
