    zinc plating rear axle--cost

Wondering for those who have had their rear axle replated, what should I expect cost-wise? Would like to go local to save on shipping back and forth, but if cost effective, would ship.

Price vary wildly. Call a zinc plater in your area. Oh, I see you are in Phoenix. You will have no trouble finding motorcycle restoration services there.

Single part job will probably cost more. I would guess 50 dollars. I think I paid 200 for the axle and a whole bunch of nuts, bolts and other bits.

I found that using the search wording using metal finishing in what ever area you want to search in works best.

I only looked at Collins information which looked to be great IMO. Now the others in your area might be just as good or better.

The axle for my 250R was $30 to get zinc plated.
