85 honda 200x whats the max rpm?

Trying to set up a efi system on the 200x and i need to know the max RPMs of the motor

Dose anybody know what is the max rpm of a 1985 honda 200x engine?

and what dose the honda 200x use for a ignition system?

If anybody could give me a hand that would be great thanks

probably around 6-7k if you have top end work with heavier duty valve springs and hardened rockers, then you can probably zing to 8k. these were meant for low to mid end not top end.

My motor (which is relatively built), made peak horsepower at 9,000 RPM and Rev'd out to 10,250 RPM. This was when we were dyno tuning.

It shows that a standard XR200 makes 19hp at 9k rpm so I would think maximum revs is over 10k

So like 6-7 k or like 6-9k i need exactly max rpms, they need to know max rpms for the kit they sell so it not to small or to big for the rpms.

Wow. You got the exact specific answer for red line and max rpm straight from a person that dynoed his bike and you still wonder what the answer is. If you can't read you might wanna skip the efi.

LOL!!!!! Awesome kit works at 8700 and shuts off at 8800????!!!! Id be leary if you need numbers that exact.

The dyno charts for the numbers I gave you are in my engine build thread. That will give the entire HP and Torque profile from my motor, which should be more than sufficient

6 mil long rod stroker, .040 over, 12-1 Piston, extensive porting, lightened flywheel. It's outlined in the beginning half of the thread
