    84 200m for less than $100

I picked up an 84 200m for a$100 today! I started tearing it down, it's a little rough but seems to be all there!
Battery is dead of course but I put my booster pack on and the light lit up and the starter even works!
Tires are pretty crappy and I gave the seat to my mother to re-apolhster.
Rear plastics aren't cracked but front is toast.
What do you guys think ?
    Any suggestions where to begin?
I'm starting with a new plug and a carb cleaning,
    Thx.

I'm new here so I hope my pics show up

an OIL CHANGE would be one of the three first things i do when buying any used toy(plug, carb clean, and New Oil) it wouldn't help to flush or clean the tank and petcock(fuel shutoff) and run new lines and grab a inline filter in case the internal one in the tank is full crap, wow i wish i could find them for that cheap even BEAT im going to be on hoarders if i keep it up with the number i buy, just started on the ATC thing maybe 6months ago and have 3 bikes( 1980 185/w 82 185s engine,1984 200s/w 82 200e engine, and a 1983 atc 200 that run and drive, one i had to rebuild the top end (200s/200e engine) with oem stock stuff and the atc 200 needed carb and some wiring done, and the 185 came with the top end rebuilt and just needed a tune, but hey i love them and i think 4 wheels is 1 wheel too many.....LOL

Would love to find a 200m in my area. My first trike was a 200m beside the Christmas tree in 84. Santa was good that year.

First thing to do is download the service manual and start reading. You can search this site for the link.

Then I would start with draining all the fluids and replacing. Don't forget the diff. Check the tank well for rust and leaks. I run clear tubing and a see through filter on my 200es.

My bad. I've had my 200es on my brain.
