Project bigger red mud bike, need help

I picked up a 88 trx300 motor a couple days ago and I'm going to put it on my big red, I'm going to put a 355 kit in it and was wondering if I need to put an oil cooler. I also need some info on how to put the 250 case and drive shaft on the 300 motor, what carb to use on the 355, and what other mods I need to do to the motor. I'm going to be putting 28/12/12 silverbacks on it.

I believe the 300 motor and is a bolt in and the 300 swinger needs to be used with it (also a direct bolt on). Someone here did one in a sx a while back and it turned out superb. I believe the guy was from Alaska

I'm working on the brakes right now I'm putting disc brakes all the way around, once I get some extra $$$ I'm going to start building the motor.

Just an fyi, the 250sx and 250es have different mounting systems for the swing arm. Not that it can't be done, just pointing it out. From memory, I think you can use the 250es swing arm if you swap the output shaft between the engines, just be aware of the thrust washer that can fall out of place when the shaft is pulled out (internal). I'd target to use the quad swing arm though since it probably is longer than the 3 wheeler one, i know the 1985 trx250 is +3 inches for a 250sx which is a direct bolt on, not sure about the output shaft swap being required or not on that machine, and a shock mount has to be welded up.
