    Most mpg trike made?

I know it might sound dumb to most people here but what is the best trike to have the most mpg? The 125m?

This would be the most fuel efficient model I can think of, but the smile per rating is low.

It would also matter what fuel you are running. Some stations only sell hot dogs. I personally recommend Taco Bell. More bang for your buck. Emissions are quite strangling though....

I agree the alt 50 is a contender, there are others mini trikes that are powered by Briggs & Stratton.

Im not sure of the best fuel economy of a trike, but, all 200 models that I have(ie. YTM, 200x) owned have been incredibly fuel efficient. YTM probably takes the prize between the 2.

The honda 185 gets my vote.
i once made a 38 mile round trip on a full to the neck tank on a 185s with no racks.
It was on county backroads and dirt roads where i held a pretty constant low 4th gear cruise, this was 50lbs ago lol
Your will be sore long before you run out of gas.

It might not be as efficient as the 90/110, though i seriously doubt that little tank will take you 38 miles.

Okay so what you all are saying is it depends on the cylinder size and compression ratio? And of course how heavy the rider is. I'm too big to fit on a alt50 lol. What if I got a better compression ratio? Or does having more compression consume more gas?

I have a YTM 200dx. But the carb needs repaired. It runs really rich so rich in fact that there is unburnt gas/carbon build up on the piston head.

Do you know what model carb it is? Ive had good results with my stock vm22. I think 225dx used a vm26 which I can only assume is the same style carb just slightly bigger. If you know that the jetting is close then my guess is that the float adjustment is off some.

Oversized tires would likely lower the mpg. Stock or slightly shorter would be your best bet.

I'll have to check what the carb is. Sorry I meant 225 dx not 200 dx
