87 Tecate Frame is back, and looking good Pipe pic's added!

Welp here it is, hhd my friend take it to the factory and got it "E coated" for free. It's alot like powder coat from what I was told. Supoose to be guranteed to hold for 30 + years. Here is a pic!

E coat is more of a primer than a paint, or used to be. New metal GM body panels are E coated black. I used to paint these new panels for a gm dealership, the black was very smooth and came in a semi gloss. I would have to take the shine off the black with either sand paper or a scotch brite pad and spray the color over it, then clear it. I believe the E coat is a dipping process. I had some parts E coated about 10 years ago and they still look the same as the day they were done. Very strong material. Suposedly you can hit it with a and it will not peel, chip or flake off. I never knew they had other colors except black.

Yea, I think X System is right. They E coated it first, then they bake paint over it. They baked the silver onto it. Thanks for the compliments guys!! :-D

Haha, Yea, I wish the 350X could have got done in Red, but It was free, The guy was supposed to get the 350X in red but brought it home in silver, and said they dont do red... It woudl either be JD Yellow, or that silver..im glad its silver...After all you cannot beat the price

The sticker was so bad I could not make out what it said. That is pretty bad considerign I have perfect vision. Not quite sure what it said....

Looks it to me. If you still have the sticker you could have took a pencil and paper to the sticker and scribble on the paper and that would have told you what it said.

Yuo guys don't understand. The sticker was flaking off. It basically chipped off with my finger nail... So Ya'll think it is a Bassani pipe? I am gona nput an FMF sticker on it to match my head pipe

LOl it's a oldschool dg silencer...if not then it looks identical to them anyhow...same welds shape etc. Looks like you polished it up nicely.
