250sx kick start problems

Ok so my kick start doesn't engage and when it does it feel like it jams also when I shut the bike off I hear a whirly sound. I did some searching and somewhere it said it might be my centrifugal clutch one way bearing . any advice on what to look at to get my kick starter working properly would be appreciated thanks

Yep, its the one way under the centrifugal clutch. The one way bearings are available on Ebay pretty cheap. The nut on the clutch hub is REVERSE thread so keep that in mind. The bearing is directional so be sure its in right before you button it up.

Nope other than a socket and impact to get the clutch hub nut off. I think it a 24mm if I recall.
