Cut a hole in a small zip lock bag, insert cable and seal with tape so the cable hands out of the hole. Full the zip lock with ATF and hang so the ATF is trying to creep down the cable and just let it hang for a few days. The ATF will work it's way through and break it free. Also a good idea to hang over a bucket.
