My wife and I moderated this sight for over 10 years, we constantly ran IP checks on Barnett and some of his chronies. Not only did they start multiple accounts to circumvent bans, but they lied about the locations..Forum ownership ho-hummed about how to handle this nonsense and never did anything about...A few years back, I made the statement that these guys were single handedly destroying this forum with lies and general unwillingness to be honest and non inflammatory with other members, but yet the desire in their head to be accepted as some self made messiah was the ultimate end game... I was right. These guys are like a case of herpies. They go away, then resurface and sometimes the flare up is painful and long lasting and quite contagious..
Like BKM said how can someone be banned multiple times, and have basic forum priveledge revoked, still have the audacity to log back on? Its crazy...He has no edit button so when and if lies get exposed, he can not go back and undo his bullshit...

In my experience, some people simply like to breed hatred and contempt under the false guise of "righteousness" with lies and misinformation which is why there is a Ku Klux Klan and was a Hitler and the Spanish Inquisitions and the Romans feeding the Christians to the Lions and why they killed Jesus etc.

I haven't really been on the forum since TF16. I've hovered my mouse over the bookmark on my browser and actively said to myself, "nah I don't want to even be aware of the drama." I've ignored my moderator duties and pretty much the entire forum. I have been burnt out on this forum. I'm burnt out on the nonsense that constantly needs moderated. There's been stuff on this forum that's left me with that 'sick in the stomach' kind of stress and I haven't had it since TF16. I don't really want that feeling over this forum. It's not worth it.

You are correct . I would definitely head this ship in a different direction by making it a far more peaceful and "Family oriented." place . I am on a couple other very large forums and none of them have the negative tone/atmosphere that some create here, therefore, if those forums can be fun and friendly, there is no reason in the World that this one can't also, all it requires is the desire of the owner of the forum.

Barnett, it use to be fun and family oriented site. Those days are long gone. It would be great if this place could get back to that, but I don't see it happening. Too much ego and pride involved.

I myself am kind of amazed at the fact that some people have some where gotten the idea that when you bring a large group of people together who share the same hobby that somehow all of their other differences are supposed to disappear. Jeebus Cripes the group here can't even agree on which oil is best, which air cleaner to use, or whether Chinese clone carbs off of ebay are a worthy purchase.

I think calling out liars, bullsh!tters, and trollls is a good thing, not a bad one. Those types are what really drag a forum down. Disagreements, disputes, differences of opinions are all normal activities in every day life. Why should it be different here? Particularly in an "Open Forum".

Should we let members who dispense bad, incorrect or errant info get a free pass and not call them out on it? Should we let charlatans, sheisters, a-holes and d-bags run amok and unchecked so we can pretend that everybody plays nicely together? I think not.

And guess what? There's a solution for those who don't like what someone posts or when a couple of members have a disagreement: Don't read the threads or posts or you can do like I do a lot of times, read the posts, shrug your shoulders, shake your head and think "What an f'n loser" or "heh, what a doosh".

There are a couple generations of younger people who have been taught that everybody needs to get along and be harmonious, and blah, blah, blah. Ya know what? They lied to you.It was all bulls!t. People don't all think the same. They don't always agree. They don't always calmly sit down, have a nice quiet discussion, agree to disagree, hug, have a coke and a smile and go home. That's not the way it happens, sorry to be the one to break the news.

The evidence is right here on this site: not everybody is treated equally when it come to time outs. I got a time out a bit ago and all I was trying to do was diffuse the tension in the thread with a little comedy relief and I got to sit in the corner for 3 days or so. Apparently not everybody's sense of humor is the same either. Whoda thunk it?

I've watched a member or 2 here insult the females of a couple of members families, no time out. So there ya go, life's not fair.

Here's the other side of the coin: See by my username where it says "Protecting Our Community". Around 3 years ago we had a "member" who never really posted anywhere but in the ATV classifieds. All of his posts directed people to his ebay auctions. I called him on it a couple times and just got either a snide comment or no response at all. The no response was his way of keeping a low profile because of what he was doing. What might that have been you ask?

Well, I tracked his auctions on ebay for a 2-3 months because I had a feeling about what he was up to. The auctions would end, many times with a winning bidder and the prices were way out of line (high bucks) compared to what others were selling for. Over the period that I watched his auctions it was always the same 2 bidders that were winning his auctions, only to have the auctions restarted a week or 2 later: Same pics, same description, and lo and behold the same winning bidders bidding AGAIN! He was trying to rip off members with shill bidding on his items, probably hoping for newbs who didn't know better.

I posted my findings here with all my evidence and he got sh!tcanned.

Should I have blown it off or was I right to investigate my suspicions and out a sh!tbag?

No, the recount efforts won't change Jack Squat.

No, the electoral college needs to stay. Do you fully understand how the EC works? Voter ID needs to be instituted. In Detroit they couldn't rectify all the vote made with eligible voters, i.e. more votes than there were registered voters. (IIRC)
