    shock I.D.

    Anyone know what shock this is. I got it a couple years ago with some 83 CR 250 parts. Could be from that but Im not sure.Click image for larger version.

    It is a Soqi Yamaha YZ shock, from the looks of the spring winding I would say it's a YZ250, about a 1985

    The reservoir would have been gold anodized too, with the B.A.S.S. system.

    Thank You Milner . I wish I had the resivor for it .I had a thought of having it rebuilt and putting it on my 85 R but the bottom mount is different. I think I will hang it on the garage wall.

    That's all Yamaha right there...they were only ones who did that on very early 80's bike.

    It is 1985 YZ125/250/490. Shocks look all the same but spring rate is prob different on them.

    Looks like a paper weight to me.
