Man I don't get many actions pics. This was just after the hoodlums terrorized the neighborhood.

The only photos I have are actually ones that John Neary's dad took when John and/or his brother were racing, and none of those show much action from me due to the location on the track they were taken, however, they have a lot of other top riders in them so they might be interesting to others because of that.

This was taken at the start of maybe an hour long [at least it seemed that long] Grand Prix held in Big Bear California in 1984 where I think I ended up 5 th or 6 th or maybe even 7 th . Part of the track was maybe only 30 feet from the lake and I was half tempted to simply ride right into it a few times because the the track was hard and dry and dusty and it was pretty hot out and I was still kinda tired from the previous nights "festivities".

John Neary was also in that race so I asked I asked him if he had the results but unfortunately he didn't . I found out the next day at Kawasaki that James Degaine had made me an honorary Team Green rider because he posted my finish along with the the Team Green riders on the Team Green rider results list but I never did figure out why I was the only "Team Green" rider that never got paid by him for any of my results.

    FROM LEFT TO RIGHT

    KAWI - Jimmy White ......... 31
KAWI - Donnie Luce .......... 53 . On far left
    HONDA - Mike Coe ............ 23
    HONDA - Marty Hart ........... 7
    KAWI - Me ....................... 29 . Behind Marty Hart
    UNKNOWN ........................ ?
    HONDA - Dean Sundahl ..... 34
KAWI - Unknown ............. 196 . You can see just a small bit of him behind and to the right of Dean . I think he was another Team Green rider.

    Top - Summer of 1987
Bottom - Spring of 1984. I think I have a photo somewhere that was taken a split second before I launched OTB that same day while trying to skip over a ditch

Found it! The one on the bottom. After a few dry runs (irony) I worked up the nerve to hit that 2' deep runoff ditch pinned out. The photo was snapped .001 seconds before my arms buckled and I was thrown over and skipped to the other side. I recall feeling like I'd hit a block wall. We didn't take a lot of photos back then, so we had to make sure they were worth taking.
