1980 ATC 70, this weeks addition to the collection, Weak and intermittent spark

Got this today, 1980 70, decent shape with maier plastic, had an R plug, will change that out tomorrow, carb is pretty much junk, tried to clean it to atleast get it to fire but think its too far coroded, with plug out and grounded, it has a blue spark but not on every pull, sparks for 4 or 5 pulls, then nothing, disconected kill switch, no difference, will go through it tomorrow and check points and wiring and timing

I got tired of messing with the points on my kids 70

The best thing we ever did to it was put a cdi ignition kit on it ,nothing to it and runs great every time
