Hey looking for some help, i need a gearshift plate for 1986 200X, part #24631-HB5-000
Or any info about another one that may work, the part number for the TRX200SX is the same, other than its "HB3", not sure what is different between the two. Any help would be awesome guys, thanks!!

The part number is not the same and it is larger. Won't work.
Honda hardened these a bit too much and many many of them break. Even tiny peaks snap off and make it useless.
I called every dealer, everyone I new for 1 when I found it to be a problem and nothing is available. We would have to have some made.
Thats why I bought 9 bottom ends cheap on EBAY years ago and last resort, I have 2 take out motors. Both this and the kickstarter shaft being too small on the 86 make 2nd gens a PITA. I know the 1st gens can be built easier and better, but overall, the 2nd gen is superior IMHO.....

Ive welded mine up, machined the weld back to the correct shape. We'll see how that works
