    swingarm extending question

    i was woundering would you have to replace the stock shock if i got the swingarm extended also what else would i possibly have to replace.
    1985 atc 70 (sold)
    1985 200x dg pipe and k&N filter
    need rear brake caliper for 200x

    people suggest that you adjust your angle of your shock to compensate for the length.

    As for replacing stuff,.. just chain, and brake lines is all.

    did not have to do anything to mine,angle,preload,rate,etc even the stock brake hose was long enough!!

    Wow that extension looks goood. On the extended one, is that a shock mount that is moved?

    yes',the mount was moved foward,since i extended 6 inches,all i did is cut the old mount off flush,and move the newly made ones up six,to smooth the welds,i used a thin coat of bondo,and i do jump it,and no cracks as of yet!!!took me around four hours form start to finish.

    almost forgot,adds only 1 1/2 lbs to swingarm by extending to a plus six with the extra metal used.
