it starts when i cross the solenoid, nothing happens when i cross the switch, both jumper wires Are live on solenoid when i turn on ignition, if I cross the solenoid it starts right up, if i just put 12 volts with multimeter to starter side of solenoid it shorts out,

Changed out solenoid, still doing same

took batery out and charged it, when i put it back in, when i hooked up solenoid cable, it spun the starter and wouldnt stop, guess i need to get into the harness and find out whats shorting out, all conections look good and have continuity at both sides, oh and it only started happening after I flipped it down a hill about 10 times

Do you have the wiring diagram? sounds like you might just have a loose or disconnected wire somewhere. i know you said you checked continuity but if you dont understand the harness and how its circuited, its tough to really track down issues like this.
sounds like an issue somewhere in the starting circuit but i think you knew that lol. i'll dig out my diagram.
