Hey guys, I need help on purchasing the correct gas cap for my 1984 yamaha 3 wheeler. I do not know what model it is. It is chain driven if that helps. The cap on there now leaks and is slowly damaging the threads on the gas tank.thanks for the help

Post a pic of your trike so we can figure out what it is. If you want the original cap that should be easy to find, back then I think Yamaha had only a couple cap designs. But if you can do with out the original cap you can use pretty much any Yamaha gas cap. A 2005 banshee and 84 yamaha 225 DX (shaftdrive) gas caps are interchangeable. Threads are the same. I also think some Suzuki models are the same threads. You can also look for a gas cap from a Yamaha timber wolf. Its pretty much the same as a 225dx just has an extra front wheel 😉
