    Cast your mind back............

Hi all. I've been using this site for a while so I thought Id test your knowledge guys. Right- thing is i've been thinking of doing a resto, though the chosen bike appears to be extreemly scarce. I guess you have all heard of a BSA, its an english made bike. Well the one I would like to start the resto on is a BSA Beaver. Its a 50cc 2 stroke, and the bike I was taught on back in the good old days. Is there any site or anyone who knows about these bikes, and would a manual be well hard to come by?? Cheers :-D

have you tried ebay to look for parts? and Im probably wrong in saying this because i dont know if they are the same thing, but the BSA motorcycles are Brittish (im not sure if brittish and english is the same thing, so correct me if im wrong).

Correct- England is in Great Britain. Theres a geography lesson for you!. Ireland ain't too far from that either! It aint so much the parts that I need because the bike is all there, its more the specs, settings and decal info i'd be after. Not to worry, i guess it may just take a bit of experimentation and common sence.

Wow...the only BSA I know of is the rifle scope/binoculars/and long range scope manufacturer

Lets see some pics of this thing

Hey matt, long time! Hey the rest of you guys also.

Right, as for Ireland, yeah I come from the north so we're well used to the odd explosion. Thankfully thats all pretty much calmed down now. Its a pitty it ever happened, Ireland is a sweet place.

As for the trikes, we have an abundance of the honda utility trikes such as big reds and 110's etc, though these are usually pretty beat up (large farming community). To this day I have never seen a sport trike in the flesh, and its the one thing i'd love to get my hands on. There seem to be some Tri-z's about but i've only heard of a few hondas. The quad scene has pretty much taken over here, oh yeah, and there are alot of dirtbikes about also.

Yeah matt, I had the 250 big red last year, great bike she was. I bought her for £50 in seriously bad shape and after a bit of work we used her all summer rain or shine. I'd problems with the gearbox in that bike though, and as I moved to London recently I gave her to a friend.

Anyways, back to the BSA, i've tried google and the only archive I can get is a listing in an american vintage trail bike race for the same bike. Thing is BSA must only have made a handfull of them so parts will be hard to come by but she is a relatively simple little bike. I'll get some pics on next time im back in the emerald isle (Ireland).

Yeah matt, I should be back on msn in a few weeks, I've only got use of my work computer at the minute (firewalls everywhere!)

Thanks for the help guys. :-D
