Any brand-name car oil is fine. The key is not leaving it in there until it looks like tar. In the summer, run 10w-40; if it gets COLD where you live(say 10-15 degrees) then run 5w-30.

I think a better question is what oil not to use. I didn't think oils like Slick 50 should be used because of the clutch. I could be wrong though. I usually run a good name brand oil. We bought the Honda oil for my mom's golf cart though.

I have used no-name oil in all my vehicles for 6 years or so. Pep boys has a no name brand Pro line for 12$ a case. I read a study on oils where engines were run with super oil and no name oil, after 100,000 miles each were torn down and inspected. No significant difference was found whether cheap or good oil was used, the oils were changed on a regular basis. I have never had a tranny, piston, clutch or crank failure. My Toyota 4x4 has 200K+ and the toys are ridden often, I warm them up and change the oil often. But if everyone wants Bell-Ray it's there choice.
