I figured it would be a good reference for pricing the ones you are looking at.
How much are they asking?

The only guarantee is that they will be worth much less once installed on your bike. Nice 2nd gen 250R pic by the way!!! That thing made me drool on my computer key board!
I have seen a lot of NOS 85R forks go for $500 - $700 on Ebay.
The one thing i do know is Honda still sells all of the internals minus the springs. Seamed my old complete overhaul with bushings, fork boots, caps, oil, seals and springs was around $300 ish for parts. Fork overhaul is not difficult. You likely know that though.
If you want the fancy gold valves add another $150.
If you want them polished for you add another $100??
If you want a shop to do the work for you add another $150
If you need to buy forks to rebuild $100??
Total = $850 minus upgrades.
I would rather have the overhauled aluminum polished gold valve internal set vs the NOS that i would always be afraid to install.
Want to know how i know that???!!! I have a pair of Brand new in the box 86R forks that will never leave that box. I can't do it.
My bottom line is $650 and i would be sick about that .
Everybody on here has variable incomes though.

As always- Everything I post is IMHO.
I have a set of rebuild and upgraded 350X forks with a 350X rear shock to match. had them done for MX but decided to redo the entire setup differently with different MX forks and shock.
I have $750 into the set. You pay $750 and I'll eat the shipping and you can have the set of 3.
i started polishing one of them , but have not finished.
forks have gold valves and upgrades, rear shock has gold valve and upgrades. both were rebuild with new seals by a local suspension guy.
pm if interested.
