    IMS vs Clarke 350x tank

Looking to get a red plastic tank. Anyone have any recommendations on quality? It seems that both tanks are actually the same size from my research regardless of the verbiage.

Anyone know where to buy IMS?

I have a white plastic Clarke tank. It came on my 82 250r, but it's not the right one. Might be a 350x tank but I can't find any numbers on it just the Clarke branding.

I have had an oversize (3 gallon) IMS on my 350X for years and I love it!
You can find them on eBay all the time.
There is also a site called justgastanks.com.
    They are about $250 new.

Thank you all for the replies.

Is this listing legit? Has anyone dealt with them previously? http://m.ebay.com/itm/Honda-ATC350X-...005?nav=SEARCH

had both IMS and Clarke. The IMS was a nicer product imo. The Clarke was a bit better pricewise though

I have a Clark on my 350x, never really had problems with it, but when I first got the machine it was missing the gasket for the gas cap. Why was it missing might be an interesting question (old one failed maybe?), but I don't have contact with the last owner. New gasket has held up well for the few years I have had it.

Have no experence with the IMS brand, so no comment from me about them.

I prefer OEM metal tanks, but rust can be a problem when they sit .

IMS comes in more colors then clarke. Metal tanks are pointless on anything other then a streetbike, so they hold their color better thats about it.. plastic on the knees all day long.

Most IMS tanks are about $275.

My old white clark looked stained and ugly as time went on. I actually threw it in the recycle bin I hated it so much.

I have 2 OS IMS 350X tanks. 1 red and 1 white. I have had these for years and years.

I did get lucky to find moth of them on EBAY and saved 100$ but I've never seen any again.

I highly recommend IMS regardless of stuff; And I know from your posts, now and then, you like your efforts to look great!!

    IMS all the way!

Now, if Acerbis ever made a 350X tank that would be my first choice, their products are top of the line.

Thank you for the sincere compliment DC - I appreciate it. I am very picky and want it done only once and I want it to be right.

I ordered a red IMS from justgastanks.com and there is a 6-8 week lead time. I'm fine with that; I will happily wait for a quality product.

Anyone know the cheapest place to get white gas tank scoops? (Maier brand )
