ok so do ebay honda pull starts come with free drugs inside? I just about fell over when I saw the $200 plus price tag for a fl250 pull start.. so that being said, do any other pull starts from other manufacturers or other machinery work? or will the fl350 housing work on a fl250 and give me electric start too? I'm attempting to build an automatic fooler, and not being able to find a cheap pull start its killing this project before it even begins...

Unfortunately they all seem to command high dollar because very few people will take the time to rebuild them. People just pull them off and junk them.

Wish I could get all the "junk" ones people throw out, they're really not that hard to rebuild. Just a bit of time and patience. Put a new rope in my 70 this weekend in under 15 minutes literally!

The words "cheap" and "pullstarter" only go together if your definition of a cheap pull starter is wrapping rope around the pulley and pulling it like a pull starter...
1983 ATC 185s 200 jug bored .20 9.5:1 Naumura piston. Fast as ass when its not stretching the drive chain or stripping hubs.
1986 ATC 250ES. *Total garbage trying to sell it*
1983 YTM 200E. Runs good, forks are super bent but aside from that its mint.
1984 YTM 200L. Barn find, everything is mint except the bottom end is bad... *waiting on a new engine*

what about the fl350? anyone know if that cover would bolt on? looks like the flywheel would have to be swapped at the least, but to have electric start would be worth it...
