    Gearing question

    I plan on swapping axles on my 200x. Stock the 200x is 38t rear and 13t front which is 2.92 according to a hearing chart. The axle I'm putting on has a 40t sprocket instead of getting a custom sprocket can I put a 14t with the 40? It would be 2.86 then, would it affect it very noticeably? Also sprocket specialists is telling me their aluminum sprockets are harder on the Rockwell scale and are better than steel, I can't see how an aluminum can outlast steel but is that claim true?

    I also plan on going from 10" rear rims to 8" does that impact gearing?
