    Swing arm question

Previous owner cut off the skid plate mount pads. Will this hurt the structural integrity of the swing arm? Doesn't seem like it will but thought I'd ask those who know.

The previous owner did not cut them they broke off very common problem with the 1st gen x it won't hurt it structurally but you need to fab up some new mounting hole as I would never run this bike without a skid plate.

The only thing that could rust inside the carrier is the bearings as the swinger is made from aluminum.

    False. The swingarm is steel.
