A guy from the UK wants to buy it apparentley. He called me today using AT&T, where AT&T calls me and he instant messages AT&T what to tell me. I hung up at first not knowing that's what it was then realized it and spoke with the guy. Apparentley they dont sell dodge trucks like this there, and he wants an American truck for his farm or something. Can anyone from the UK confirm that they dot sell these there so I know for sure this isnt try to scam me or somethin? He apparentley wants to pay me via cashiers check drawn on an American bank Then I will send him the title for the truck. What's your guy's input on this?

I should also ad he wanted to send me a large amount $5,800, and wanted me to withdraw my amount ($1,100) and send the rest to a shipping company. I e-mailed him and told him he would have to deal with the shipping companies payment, or the shipping company could pay me cash when they arrive here to pick up the truck or i could accept a cashiers check from him for my amount ($1,100) and wait untill it clears.

this is a pretty well known scam. they get your account info and rob you.

Do you really think this is serious? WAKE UP!!! Its a scam. People have been posting things like this for a year now. You will loose your money if you do that deal. They send you a higher amount (bogus check) you deposit it and take out the difference and send it to them. A couple days later your bank calls you and says you have an overdraft or you deposited a counterfit check. Get the check and give it to the police.

Thats what I would do to, tell him you have a few other vehicles to sell and ask if hes interested. See how big a check you can get out of him.

This is definatly a scam. He wants you to cash the check send him his money keep yours and then the bank will realize it's no good and your responsible for the money. I've gotten warnings in e-mail about this and have seen a thing on TV where this women got scammed and the bank took the money from her savings to cover the check but somehow she got it back. Most banks are aware of this scam and won't cash it.

I called my local police and they said they can't do anything about it so I will have to tell the guy I can only accept cash in person. To bad he already has my address and name and phone #.

Have you heard: In God we trust, all others must pay cash. Just try to be sure its not counterfeit cash. I had a letter from a Nigerian diplomat/banker who wanted to GIVE me some money too. Maybe he can hook up with him.

I sold a 25 foot speed boat to a guy in Sweden. He flew over, and checked the boat out, then he wired $15000 into my account from his bank (I checked before he left) and then he had a shipping company pick up the boat and trailer, and that was that.

I shipped that IT465 I had for sale here a few months back to a guy in the UK. We used paypal for the currancy exchange and the payment. Worked out great. Hemi's deal reaks of a scam. I have gotten tons of these offers just like his from buyers in the UK, Germany, ETC. They are all looking for information and bankaccount numbers only. Private posts such as Marks Swapmeet, Vintage bikes, Southwest classifieds, ACR and a few others all have these prowlers studying the pages for new posts that they may try this scam out on. Like I said, I have seen over a hundred requests just like yours Hemi, over the last 6 months. I threatened a few with remarks like, "turning email address over to the FBI, etc" never heard from them again. Thanks.
