    Yes I think you valve seals or rings may need replaced. I don't understand mine, it is still in the break in cycle. I think I need to change oil and do some break in riding. Oil is a brown color not to dark. But still a good brown color and doesn't look to new.

    10w-40 is the most ideal oil weight for their 4-stroke ATV's according to Honda's service manuals. At least the older machines. The weight of oil you are running is not the problem.

    I'm sure other weights work OK and in some cases other weights may be more desirable. I am just telling you what the people who designed and manufactured that machine recommend.
