Need Some Help with Shipping a Trike

I know this topic has been discussed before, but wanted to see what options people have used for shipping a trike. I need to get my Tecate to Minnesota from Cincinnati and am trying to figure something out. It's a solid 12 hour drive one direction so am trying to avoid having to do that if I can find an affordable alternative. Anyone have any good options they've used in the past?

Need Some Help with Shipping a Trike

I had one shipped FedEx Freight and they simply rolled it around, no packaging. Also look into hot shot truckers. You might be able to find a guy hauling cars that way with a little room on the trailer. I've heard people recommend "you ship" or something, I'm guessing that's where you'd find the hot shots.

I used U-ship to send 3 ATV's and a snowmobile from NH to VA. its 600 miles, and also a 12 hour trip. Cost me $580 I think? Dont go with the cheapest bidder... go with someone that has good feedback.
Basically you list what you have to ship, how big how heavy yada yada. shippers bid (BACKWARDS) on your shipment. First bidder may say $800... second one may say $650, and so on. At the end YOU get to choose who you go with. You pay U-ship and they act as a middle man. Once you stuff is delivered you enter in a code or giv it to the shipper and that releases the funds from Uship to the shipper. That way your not paying up front and they dont deliver. Worked great for me.

I have arranged shipping for a few members here thru my work. If you can build an enclosed pallet I can ship it for you. Loading dock to loading dock is cheapest. My office is in Shoreview, MN so you could ship it to me and have it picked up from here if you have no dock available. Send me the origin and destination zip code and i'll send you a quote.

I plugged in 45201(cincinnati zip) to 55126(st.paul zip) 400 pounds 48l x 40w x 80h (standard pallet with trike on the grab bar) and the price was $350
