    early 80's 250r

I found an 81/82 250r rolling chasis, basically missing seat, plastics, light, brakes, motor, transmission, and probably needs new forks.

My question is; What modern parts (engine, transmission, two or four stroke) can I use that bolt right on? Can you use later year plastics and seat?

    Thanks

81 /82 250R's are great trikes, one of my favorites. 81 has rear drum brake and 82 is disc. 81 to 84 engines can swap with little effort, mostly the same. Sounds like you would really be buying a frame, swing arm and rear axle. 200 x front can swap onto them but you loss the wide front tire, depending who you are that's good or bad. Frame is worth $100 so go from there. Some Honda bike engines fit as well. Search on here and see what has all been done. Seats are expensive and hard to find OEM, but DC plastics makes plastic pans.
