    yamaha yt125 reed valve question

hey guys,I have a 1982 yt125j. I want to replace the reeds. my cage has the solid reed with the solid reed stop, any replacement reeds I look up?, are the split reeds?,are these interchangeable with my cage? if so do the stops need changed also?, or does anyone have the solid reed part number? every place I check shows the split reed.

Back in about 1995 when I was a teenager, little sister had a YT125. We replaced the reeds with Boyesens and they worked fine. If I recall they were split. I wouldn't worry about whether or not they are solid, split, or how many they are split up into. Some reeds for 250r are 4 petal, some are 2 petal and still others are 8 petal double cage type like ESR and V-force. Not a big deal IMHO. If Boyesen still offers them I would get a set of those. If I recall, back when we did the reeds in her YT, Boyesen was the only aftermarket company that offered replacement reeds for that trike.
