the R is almost done...

I am so close to getting my R done I can taste it. Hopefully by next weekend I will be playing in the snow with my new machine. I bought this a couple of weeks ago for 800.00 from a friend of a friend. It ran when I go it but needed work. Missing brakes, a silly twist throttle, and kinda dirty. I have everything fixed up and running real smooth. I custom did the seat myself and did the swingarm over again with new paint. I will post completely finshed pics when I am done. Let me know what you think or anything else I could do. The first pic is when I brought it home and the second is where it stands right now.

I was fooling around with my computer and started drawing on my 250r. what do u think of this flame desing I came up with? Use it or leave it plain red....?

Those flames could lok freakin awesome. The only hard thing about it would be finding the right flames, or making them if your gonna go that route. But otherweise it's looking awesome. What was wrong with the stock seat that you had to put a cover on it. It looked good in the pic.

Thanks Honda man. I have a buddy who is awesome at drawing and painting stuff like that, so I am going to give him a call in a couple days and get that done. The stock seat was in decent shape but had 2 small holes on each back corner. The kid must have rode this thing alot because the seat had lost all of its grip and was really slippery. If you goosed the throttle you slid right off of it. So I put a cover on it.

Looks good.. Need some new rear fenders now.. Are those 84 fenders?? Other then the fenders it looks like a really nice bike.. And the rear tires (older ones) they look like fast trekkers.. wouldnt happen to be for sale would they?

Those fenders are Maier racing fenders. They are fiberglass and have that low profile look to them. I shouldnt have taken that pic then because they have about 2 weeks worth of overspray and dust on them. I polished them up nice last night and now they shine. The old tires, are pretty bald. I will post a pic later tonight, and If you want them make me an offer.
