    Ebay 200X kicker confusion

So i sold an extra kicker on ebay i had for my 85 200x. The guy that bought it just emailed me saying it doesnt fit his 85 200X, that it was way too big. The splines didnt catch. I dont see how its possible unless his isnt an 83-85X motor. He sent me a pic of the make model tag showing 85, and also a pic of it being too big. But im a little lost. I am absolutely POSITIVE it fits an 85. Thats what i have and i had an extra, thats why i sold it. Only thing i can think of is that someone put a non X motor or somehow rigged an 86-87 X motor on an 85 frame. Any thoughts?Click image for larger version.

Ask for the engine serial number from his engine. This will let you ID what he has, then at least you will know if the problem is on his end.

That is EXACTLY what i did haha. I told him give me the serial number off the crankcase and he hasnt emailed me back. I think he realized he was doing something wrong. I wouldve had no problem refunding his money. And its definitely on his end. I only have one machine with a kick start lol Both kickers i had are identical. Ones on my 85 200X, the other is the one i sold
