I can't believe some people, I think he might be sitting on it for awhile. I have a guy local to me that has a 250r 86 and is looking to trade it for a mint 200s or big red or 2g's, now that would be a deal for a trade.

400ex, looking for a 1984 250r(running or roller) or a 200x.
Dont you just love it when they coat the tires in Armorall? Just makes me want to put a horn and some blinkers on it and hit the main drag in town.
I like the part when they say "Just like new", then comes the "bored to 80 over" and replaced this and replaced that. If it was like new you wouldn't have had to replace all the parts. I think there should be a law that states a standard of the words "new" or "mint" and you get your wheeler impounded if you don't use the words right, hehe.

.080 over! I didn't even know you could bore a 250R that much, it must run super cool with the water jackets being so close to the piston LOL!
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country
If I'm not mistaken I think you can bore a liquid cooled r more than 100 over
ATC350X,ATC70,1991 RM 250,XR500,TM400,TS400,Foreman400 4X4,Polaris 425 Magnum,ATC 90, 1982 175,1973 Honda Trail 90,1980 CR80,1981 CR80,
I'd pay $2000 for it but not $3000.
'02 Honda 416ex - A seasoned blend of 11 herbs and spices
'04 Honda Recon - The yard machine and snow plow
'88 Honda CR250R - Another chapter in my torrid all terrain affair
You'd pay 3000 but the reserve isn't met at that, I'm sure the reserve is close to the buy it now price of 4g's. I think it's one of those deals where the wife is telling him he has to sell it and he figures that nobody will ever buy it at that price and he can at least said he tried. hehe Maybe he's smarter than we think, or not.

I don't think it matters whether it is air or liquid cooled. Each model has different specs. Cylinder sleeves have a wall thickness only so much. Thin them too much and heat expansion would cause a catastrophe. I always see 250R quads for sale .060 over, I think thats pretty close to their last bore.??Originally Posted by 350Xrider

Most of the Yamahas max at .080" but I think the later R's can go to .120". Ill let you know when mine gets there!
My '85 ATC250R is at .125 over right now. I can't remember if they said they could go one more or not...
Seems like you have a disdian for people who describe their trikes like they are. You should try to describe your. Old air, aircooled, slow etc etc etc
sorry, Disdain, aircooled etc etc etc
liquid R's can go .180, before a new sleeve...that R is nice but not 3g's like O.S. said 2 tops........man and noone was hitting on mine at $1300, when it was for sale, its become a permant part of the family now, unless one of you sap's has got 3g's burning a hole in your pocket...lol...
