    200x '84 master cylinder [front]
Just brought Moose kit for it, which way do the rubbers go onto the piston? A or B C or D? Mine are disintergrated

    Use C.

    That is the correct way.

If your master cylinder is shot its possible your front caliper is too.

It might be a good idea to get a kit for the brake as well.

Be very, very careful with rebuild kits.

A lot of vendors on Ebay sell the wrong Shindy kit, because Shindy has the wrong kit listed on their website.

The pins that were hiding in the boots needed re-greasing about 25 years ago on my machine.

I had to ditch both calipers. They were perfect non scratched showroom condition calipers.

There is also the CR and KX options. You have read the massive 200X brake thread right?

They sell new aftermarket brakes on Ebay all over the place it seems. I have seen at least 3 vendors with Oldskool83 being one of them.

Sometimes its less expensive, less time consuming and better to just get new stuff. I tried to keep mine OEM and all that but.... What a pain!

My machine was almost museum quality. I will never buy a bike like that again.

Absolutely perfect looking brakes, master cylinders etc. All rock solid frozen and all in the garbage bin now.
