    Saw these today.

Saw these today at my aunts neighbors place...Guy that owns the place let his daughter and son in law keep them here after they took them to the coast once and the son in law broke his back on the tri-Z. I talked to the sister of the owners of them and she said they aren't for sale and if they were they'd want more than they are worth. The father literally said " it was faster than his brain"
From what I can tell is its a 85 200x. I was hoping it was an 86 or 87.

The triZ I'm guessing is 86? I don't really know but I really want it!

I wanted to tell them that but didn't want to piss them off and loose my chances of getting them. The sister of the owners is going to ask them what they want for it. I can't believe that I've been here countless of times and come to find out that here they are sitting beside a dodge 2500 and crap trailer. Kinda hurts to see them in the elements getting sun faded in 100 degree weather and then go through 30- degree weather in the winter....

I'm thinking 85 cuz of the blue seat and rear fender decals. That tank I can't tell it looks like it was repainted

Definitely 1st gen 200x... Blue seat with "200x" on the side is consistent with an '85 model as you stated.
    Trikes:
    '85 ATC 350R
    '85 ATC 250R
    '86 ATC 350X
    '85 ATC 350X
    '84 ATC 200ES Big Red
    '84 ATC 125M
    '85 ATC 110
    '85 ATC 70/110

Seat, plastic, chain, tires, air filter, clean carb, fresh plug, oil change and check the rest out, and----- your golden!!

I wonder what they value them at? 2K for the pair? They need some help for sure but may have good mechanical components, IDK.

That (outdoor in the sun time capsule) didn't hold up too well...

FWIW, That Tri-Z is an 86... Side mount coolant bottle is tell tale.
    Gunter glieben glauchen globen

    The Good:
    1985 1/2 Tri-Z - Daily Rider - Pretty much stock ( wink )
1985 1/2 Tri-Z - Custom Black & Gold, Top mount plastic tank, custom 3D printed airbox, Banshee shock
    1985 Tri-Z - Rider restore in process

    The Bad:
    1988 TRX250R with 86 ATC 250R Motor and Swinger - Screamer!

    The Ugly:
1993-ish Banshee / 2003 Motor by VSR in Belding, MI - Duner Fun!!
2000-ish Banshee / Motor by RDZ Racing in Fowlerville, MI - Another Duner!

IDK I kinda made a deal with my aunt and uncle... depending on what they want for it I might have the triZ in October. I don't know how much they want but if I was in their shoes I'd ask $400-600 for the Z. I also kinda wanting that 200x for a beater and time capsule my 90% mint 85 200x. You'd think that a guy that hates trikes after he broke his back would be like "here just take it its an eye sore and a bad memory." But there is always a guy that says " I want the money back that it caused me"

If he wasn't a pansy, he would have tightened up his back brace and gotten back on it...

I wouldn't be in a hurry to overpay for them. The sun has not been kind...
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

Where they live is cattle ranching so they probably think since they are for sport and not utility the value of them is more. It's 2 months away. My luck Shelly forgets to ask her sister and I luck out
