whatever you do, dont try to take off doing a wheelie....i have seen that TRIED, and they always end up on their arses!!! what i would do is start off in 2nd get it into the powerband, and rev up the motor, drop the clutch and you should be set....thats what i did on my 200x, and now that i have an RM 250, i can pop wheelies even when i dont want to!

go kinda slow then hit a bump and gas it hard. or put your knees on the back of the seat and go up a small incline and gas it hard.

My kdx 200 will wheelie in 1st or 2nd gear with a twist of the throttle. Just give it gas and you'll wheelie. It will do it from an idle.

From my experience on a bike mainly 2 strokes all i've had to do is, shift my butt to the back of the seat while riding and kinda tug back on the bars as it hits the power band.

Now as for on my 350ex I normally start moving first get into second gear or third depending on situations and do about the same as mentioned for bikes but instead i also kinda bounce my body down to get it to sink down int the back after i get the front end up on just about any bike i can normally hold it up going through the gears doing this you don't want to use clutch just let off the gas and shift but be carefull and feather the gas and work your way up. It's taken alot of time for me to be able to ride a wheelie all the way to sixth gear but i've done it before.

Just remember to keep the brain bucket on

lol yater...with you on there that kdx ought to come on up in 3rd. Mine will, but not nearly as easy as 2nd obviously. I have to sit way back on the seat and it pretty hard. Mine wouldnt do it before the mods though.

Yep, he sure was a sight to watch. Nobody could juggle two pot pies, stter with the feet do a headstand and wheely at the same time like Uncle Arlis. Man was he good.
