Well I made a leak tester with some airline hose a couple nice fittings with a shrader valve for a bycicle pump on the end with a 0-15 psi gauge in the middle. UWorked well except I found my crank seal on the flywheel side, was blowing bubbles with soupy water sprayed on it. So now I know what the problem has been!! So now begins the engine teardown. Oh well I enjoy this kind of puttering.

Here's a pic of my leak down tester. I can make more if anyone is interested.

    Cranks seals,,,,, :(

Yep, bad crank seals do maskerade as other problems alright.
The Polaris trike I recently gave my brother didn't show signs of bad crank seals right away and carb tuning only helped mask the real problem.
Ain't no problem no more ! At least I could replace with out splitting cases ~thank goodness.

Yeah now I got to round up some job specific tools somehow. I'm sure I can make them if I have to.
