your best option is to do a chinese conversion, search for the write ups on it , also works for the 250sx/es and many other machines

The Chinese CDI works great, as long as it is AC ... if you have the newer 6 pin connector it will just be plug and play, if not you will need to do a adapter change, which is not difficult to do ...

the only thing you don't get with the chinese cdi conversion is no start in reverse. I have done this swap on more than just the 200es, used it on the 250sx/es motors, and on second gen 250r's.
