200 big red starter gear locked up?

My 1984 200es was running good idling in neutral when it died. When I tried to start it up the starter just bumps but will not turn over and the pull rope will not budge. I am going to tear into it tomorrow but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

At first I thought you needed a battery but after saying your pull start won't budge, I'm thinking your motors locked up. How often do you change the oil?
