1985 Honda ATC 200x Where it all started.

Hello three wheeler world, my name is Andrew and i am new to this site. I own a 1985 honda atc 200x. It all started when i bought three parts bikes and made one complete trike. I rode it all over the place and replaced many parts. After two years of riding the third gear decided to break off and three teeth jammed themselves in-between the rod and the crank shaft. I am currently rebuilding the motor, i got a new gear and will probably replace many other engine parts. Ever since i started to ride i wanted a 1986 Honda ATC 250R. I have one in my sights. I have attached pictures before and after of the 200x. I recently added ITP Mud Light tires and tig welded a muffler off of a yamaha blaster ATV to get better flow and to quiet it down. The chain guard was broken off so i took a piece of aluminum and tig welded the two pieces together, it gets the job done but is far from oem.(picture attached)

Also attached is for you 1986 Honda 200x fans, i built a shifter kart with the three wheeler motor. It was extremely fast and with 6 gears you would fly. (Picture Attached)

The one item i do not have for my engine rebuild is one spring that attaches to the timing advance counter weights. Does anyone know where i could pick up a new spring or if there is a cross reference spring available. If you can believe it i ran a spring from a pencil for a year, i know that is not the correct option but it worked.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

Good looking bike. Have fun with the rebuild, and I've always wanted a 250r too.

THAT's it. Margay. I had one years ago. Raced 4 stroke Honda 5.5HP and Honda 6.5HP engines. First kart.

No I do not not. Lossed a pile of pics from back in the day. I helped my friend at the same time with his shifter kart. He was running a Honda CR125 engine with a 6 speed. Last year that they had them if my memory serves me right. New engine. Sent it off to have mods done to it. He had Dyno results. 40HP (?) Sound right.

    This was back around 1995ish
