    Measuring Wheel Offset Question

My 250SX came with an extra set (2) of 20x11-10 Sand Devils mounted on 10" Douglas wheels. I checked the wheels and there is nothing stamped into them to indicate the offset. Obviously these wheels and tires were meant to strictly be mounted on the rear so the offset possibly provides a wider stance than stock wheels. Is there a standardized way to measure the wheels to check what offset these wheels were built with? The reason I am curious is I am toying with the idea of putting a 10" wheel on the front and running a 23x7-10 tire and since I already have a couple 10" wheels at my disposal....I'm not sure I will ever mount sand tires on my SX. I'm guessing you measure from the mounting surface to the outside of the rim but want to do it correctly.

Oh duh, never mind. I just realized these wheels are going to be too wide anyway. Looks like I will be buying a new wheel.
